MN Governor Calls for Regulations on Pet Breeders

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton says he supports a bill to tighten state regulations for professional dog and cat breeders.

Dayton spoke yesterday at a Capitol rally sponsored by state humane societies and other groups that fight animal mistreatment.

The bill mandates yearly inspections and regulatory fees to operations with a certain number of breeding animals and yearly births.
