TULSA, Okla., Feb. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- PennWell Corporation, a diversified global media and information company, has hired Lawrence Hunter Jones as the Sponsorship Sales Manager for the company's North America power generation events. Jones, who will remain based in Houston, TX, will sell sponsorships for the industry's leading events including POWER-GEN International, COAL-GEN, NUCLEAR POWER International and Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo North America.

Prior to joining PennWell, Jones held numerous sales positions including Director at TradeFair Group, Inc., an Access Intelligence Company where he managed a portfolio concentrating on power generation in North America including Electric Power Exposition and RETECH; Sales Manager at TradeFair Group, where he was the top producer for the company; and Commercial Sales Representative at Lanier Worldwide, Inc.
