UPDATE: Police Fill South Fargo Neighborhood After Report of Gun

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE:

Fargo police are questioning a man who was apparently hallucinating when he called to report there were people with guns in his south side home.

Officers surrounded a home on the 300 block of 24th street south just after 7:30 Wednesday morning.

They blocked off several intersections, had guns pointed at the home and were warning neighbors to stay in their homes.

Eventually the man's roommates came home and were able to help police figure out the report of someone with a gun was false.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Fargo Police blocked off a south Fargo neighborhood Wednesday morning after a report of an incident with a man making threats with a gun.

The initial call came in just after 7 am.

Police set up a perimeter and had guns pointed at the house in the neighborhood of 3rd avenue and 24th street south in Fargo.

Officers say they are taking the situation very seriously, since there are a lot of children walking in the neighborhood on their way to school.
