Moorhead Students Collecting Prom Attire to Help Classmates

Posted: Updated:

Students in Moorhead are looking for donations to help out their classmates. Members of the high school student council are collecting formal wear for prom. Everything from dresses, suits, and ties are being collected so other students who may not be able to afford it, will still get the chance to go.

All formal wear will be repaired and dry cleaned prior to prom. The students organizing the project say prom is a big part of growing up, and everyone should get the chance to look their best.

"I think prom is just a time for you to feel beautiful for a night to really feel pride in yourself. Be able to take fun pictures and have a really formal night," says Vianna Berhow, a Moorhead Junior who is helping organize the formal wear drive.

The student council has collected about 20 items so far, and are hoping to get as many as possible. If you have something you would like to donate, drop it off at Moorhead High School.
