In Friday's Healthier Me, it's national Go Red for Women day, sponsored by the American Heart Association, and Sanford took part in their own way with a treadmill challenge.
All seven Sanford Cardiac Rehabilitation locations got in on the challenge today as each location competed to rack up the most miles. Runners were hard at work Friday, running from 6am to 6pm. Patients, staff, and anyone else who wanted to hop on the treadmill got the chance to do so today.
Sara Johnson, Sanford Cardiac Rehab: "We want people to be aware that people can be healthy and live a normal lifestyle with heart disease, and we just [...] wanna raise awareness and educate our patients and staff that heart disease can be managed."
This is the first year that Sanford Cardiac Rehab has teamed up for the treadmill challenge.
