Monster Jam Drivers Visit Sanford Children's Hospital

Posted: Updated:

The kids at Sanford Children's Hospital got a treat Friday morning as some special guests stopped by to say "hi." Drivers from this weekend's "Monster Jam" show handed out teddy bears and tickets to the patients and their families.

Although the drivers feel a thrill driving the Monster Jam trucks that may of us will never get to, the drivers say they get a bigger thrill out of visiting the children, who are usually their biggest fans.

"It makes your day to know that you can do that for someone else like the mother and the daughter and just like families when you talk to them you can just see their eyes light up and that makes our days go a lot better too," says Rod Schmidt, who drives "Monster Mutt."

You can catch all the Monster Jam drivers in action this weekend at the Fargodome. Shows are Friday night at 7:30 and Saturday 2:00 and 7:30 p.m.
