Veteran HBO producer Kathy Lekan (Hung, Deadwood) is set to produce the independent comedy RAINBOW DREAMS via Barn 38 Pictures.

Written by Steven Turner (Boardwalk Empire, Big Love) and Jared Drake (Visioneers), the comedy follows Andy Fordham, a middle-aged car salesman whose teenage pipe dream of a Hollywood career is suddenly resuscitated when his 1980’s cable access show becomes a YouTube hit. Drake will also direct.

Producing with Lekan is Turner and Jeremiah Samuels (House of Sand and Fog, Brothers). Brian Posehn (Sarah Silverman Program) recently joined the cast along with Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), who will star as Sally Rasmussen.
