UPDATE: Highway 2 reopened from East Grand Forks to Crookston

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol reopened Highway 2 from East Grand Forks to Crookston at 8 a.m. this morning.

Highway 2 from East Grand Forks to Crookston was closed earlier due to blowing snow and zero visibility.

Motorists are warned that driving conditions remain difficult due to blowing snow, drifting and icy patches.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Highway 2 from East Grand Forks to Crookston at 7 a.m. Thursday morning due to blowing snow and zero visibility. 

Highway 2 from East Grand Forks to Crookston will remain closed until further notice.

Motorists are advised not to travel until conditions improve and MnDOT and the Minnesota State Patrol open the road.
