  A 21-year old Minot man is being held in the Polk County jail, following an unusual traffic stop.

  Kyle Delonais was stopped in downtown Crookston Tuesday afternoon,  while riding a motorcycle.

  A state trooper pulled him over after determining the bike wasn't registered. During a pat down, the trooper discovered Delonais was carrying a pistol and other officers were quickly called to the scene. Delonais surrendered without incident.

  He's now being held on charges of a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and driving without a license or registration.

   Delonais also had several outstanding warrants on misdemeanor charges.

A man with a gun was arrested in downtown Crookston this afternoon.

  Captain Mike Hanson tells Valley News Live a state trooper was following a motorcycle through Crookston and determined the bike was not registered, so he stopped the driver.

  During a pat down, the trooper discovered the suspect was carrying an unregistered handgun and other officers were quickly called to the scene.

  Captain Hanson identifies the suspect as 21-yea old Kyle Delonais of Minot. He surrendered without incident.

  Authorities have now determined that Delonais was also wanted on multiple warrants for misdemeanor violations. He's currently being held at the Polk County jail.

  An SUV and it's 3 occupants believed to be accompanying the motorcycle were also searched and released.
