Minnesota Flu Cases Appear to be Declining

Posted: Updated:

Minnesota is starting to see a drop in the flu outbreak as the number of people being hospitalized due to the flu slows down.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health, 2,128 people have been hospitalized in the state since the flu outbreak began. The number of flu-related deaths in the state has reached 75 as of last week.

Officials at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth say that seven people are currently being hospitalized related to the flu, however they do not have anyone in the ICU due to the illness.

Officials at St. Luke's also say that it appears the number of flu cases is starting to decline, however experts won't say if we have already reached our peak.

10 people have died in the Twin Ports area due to flu-related illnesses since the start of the flu season.
