Power Outage Causes School Delay in Grand Forks

Posted: Updated:

It was a very cold morning for more than 100 people in Grand Forks Thursday morning. Xcel Energy confirms 112 customers were without power for three hours.

The outage happened in the 17th avenue south area, near Red River High School. The school delayed the start of school until 10 a.m.

An Xcel spokesperson says an underground fault caused a power outage between 4 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.
