Today Jan. 21 is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the day we honor the legacy of Doctor King through service and volunteering.

In Minnesota post offices as well as all local, state and federal government offices will be closed today, Jan. 21st for Martin Luther King Jr. day.

If you're heading to the cities, most Minneapolis and St. Paul parking meters are free, unless you're parking at a Minneapolis Park -- then meters will be enforced.

In Grand Forks, the city hall will be closed today in observance of the holiday.

This week's city council meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Jan 22nd at 5:30 in council chambers.
