Woman Arrested In Fargo Prostitution Sting

Posted: Updated:

Another prostitution sting in south Fargo Thursday landed Ebony Lee of Minneapolis behind bars. Just last month the Fargo police had a sting in which several people were arrested. They say that pimps are prostitutes are starting to take notice that Fargo is no place for business. Thursday about 20 leads only lead to one arrest because many offering that type of service just don't want to meet up in Fargo.

Lt. Joel Vettel of the Fargo police department says it's a sign that many are taking notice of stepped up enforcement, "many of them stated that they no longer participate in these acts in the city of Fargo, hotels specifically for the reason that the Fargo police department targets prostitution at motels."

The cities of Fargo, West Fargo, and Moorhead police departments are looking into creating an ordinance that would make it more difficult for solicitors of sex to advertise in such places as newspapers and some online forums.
