Manager Accused of Embezzling More than $30,000

A Crookston woman is due in court next month after an investigation revealed she embezzled several thousand dollars from the Humane Society of Polk County.

On Wednesday, January 16 the complaint was served to 26-year-old Tracy Janisch for Felony Theft. Nearly a year earlier, on January 31, 2012, the Crookston Police Department began an investigation in to the embezzlement of funds from the Humane Society of Polk County (HSPC).

HSPC President Toby Solberg and Vice president Mary Solberg reported to the Crookston Police Department that HSPC Manager and Treasurer Tracy Janisch had embezzled several thousand dollars from the HSPC. 

During the course of the investigation it was found that Tracy Janisch had falsified records and taken cash and embezzled in excess of $30,000 from the HSPC between the summer of 2009 and January 2012.

Janisch's court date is set for February 6, 2013 at 9:00 A.M.
