Michael Booth commits to Cornell University

Booth is currently in his first season with the team after being selected by the Force in the second round of the 2012 USHL Futures Draft with the 29th overall pick. The forward from Cary, IL previously played for the Illinois Minor Midget team where he scored nine times and added 17 assists for 26 points in 29 regular season contests. He had eight multi-point games on the season. So far in his rookie season with the Fargo Force he has played in 32 games, posting 12 points with four goals and eight assists. He has had four multi-point games so far this season.

Booth is the 13th player on the Fargo Force to commit to play Division 1 hockey and the first in the history of the team to commit to Cornell University. Currently, there is just one former player who plays in the same conference as Cornell for Princeton University, forward Tyler Maugeri.

The Fargo Force are in Tri-City this weekend to face the Storm before coming back home for another match-up against the same team on January 18 and 19 at Scheels Arena.
