Authorities Arrest 2, Looking for 1 More After Drug Bust

The Eddy County Sheriff's Office received a report of a woman being held against her will in New Rockford, North Dakota, just after 1:30pm Friday.


     Chief Deputy Richard Comer and Sheriff Brandon Maygra got to the home and found a 23-year-old woman that claimed she was being held there against her will. Those accusations are still under investigation, and a suspect was taken into custody.

During the investigation, the Eddy County Sheriff's Office also executed search warrants on two homes in New Rockford with the assistance of the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Identification and the Stutsman County Task Force. A large amount of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia was confiscated. Police made two arrests, and seek a third.

 

Demetrius Coleman was arrested on the following counts:

  • unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana; a Class A misdemeanor
  • unlawful possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver; a Class B felony
  • manufacture or intent to manufacture marijuana; a Class B felony
  • false information to law enforcement; a Class B misdemeanor

 

Margaret Coleman was arrested on the following counts:

  • unlawful possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, a Class C felony
  • unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor

 

Furthermore, the Eddy County Sheriff's Department is searching for Ronald Williams and is asking for the public's help in locating him. Williams is similarly wanted on several counts:

  • unlawful possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver; a Class B felony
  • manufacture or intent to manufacture marijuana; a Class B felony
  • unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana; a Class A misdemeanor
