Saturated Fats May Reduce Male Fertility

Posted: Updated:

In tonight's Healthier Me, new research reveals a man's fertility may be affected by what he eats; a study of 700 young men found that those who ate the most saturated fats had a 41% lower sperm count than men who consumed the fewest fatty foods. Sperm quality was also impacted.

Researchers say sperm production and quality has been declining in western countries over the past 60 years as saturated fats have become more common in the food supply.
