Local Girl Scouts Spread Kindness

Posted: Updated:

Shoppers at West Acres Mall got a surprise from a troop of local girl scouts Thursday Night. The girls were going around doing as many random acts of kindness as they could.

The two troops handed out flowers, gave people gifts cards, put pennies by the wishing fountain and a number of other nice gestures. They wanted to do their part to remember the 26 people killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. Eight of the girls killed in that shooting were girl scouts... and our local scouts wanted to honor their fallen girl scout sisters.
