Blackduck AmericInn Robbed

Posted: Updated:

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help tonight after receiving a 911 call yesterday evening reporting a robbery at the AmericInn Motel in Blackduck, MN, approximately 25 miles north of Bemidji.

Law enforcement is looking for anyone who might have information on the suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall male with a deep voice and possibly in his early 20's. The man was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants when he walked into the motel through the front lobby around 7:15 pm and demanded cash. He kept his face concealed during the robbery behind a bright orange mask. After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, he left immediately and was seen heading west on foot toward the American Legion.

Beltrami County Investigators were able to obtain footage from surveillance cameras today, and we have linked the image to this story; you'll find that below.

The Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating and identifying the subject. Please call 218-333-9111 with any information that may help solve this case.

We will keep you up-to-date as more information becomes available.
