A pickup pulling a camper lost control on Interstate-94 Friday morning and was hit by a semi going the other direction. John Skalicky with the North Dakota State Patrol says a preliminary investigation shows the pickup was going east on I-94 when the driver lost control.

The pickup and camper entered the median and rolled into the westbound lanes of I-94, where a semi driving west hit the pickup.

Skalicky says two people were hurt and taken from the crash scene by ambulance, but he believes the injuries are non life-threatening.  Blaine Weyrauch, 24, of Mandan, North Dakota was driving the pickup pulling the camper. He was taken to the hospital with injuries and the truck is totaled.

The driver of the semi, John Wankel, 56, of Woodville, Texas was hurt. The passenger in the semi, Regenna Davis, 51, of Lake Park, Georgia wasn't hurt.

The crash happened at mile marker 315, near the Buffalo exit. Skalicky says the roads were wet at the time and could have been slick. He points out that for much of the winter, drivers need to drive for conditions: Slow down and don't use cruise control.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigation the crash.
