While many of you went back to work the day after Christmas, plenty of people are took in after-Christmas sales and made the first gift returns.
As soon as the doors opened at Target, shoppers like Kim Kaseman and her family were deal hunting.
Kaseman says, "The kids don't get money for Christmas a lot of times, they get presents. But this year they have money to spend, and we thought there might be some good sales."
But the Kaseman's are not the only ones out and about.
Despite falling on a Wednesday, retail experts still expect the day after Christmas to be one of the busiest shopping days of the year. In fact, they expect it to fall in the top five.
Target stores opened earlier and are closing later. Other stores like Toys R Us and Macy's are rolling out new deals and fresh promotions, all in hopes of wooing shoppers one last time.
A Target spokesperson also says December 26 is one of the highest gift card redemption days, leaving a need for new deals. Target especially focuses on apparel, toys, holiday decor and electronics.
The electronics portion is a welcome option for the Kaseman's, though even if they cannot find the deals they are looking for, being at the stores provides a nice break.
"We just wanted to get out of the house. We've been in the house for a few days over Christmas," says Kim.
Last year the day after Christmas brought in more than $7 billion dollars in revenue for stores.
