Family Meals Better for Children

Posted: Updated:

In tonight's HealthierMe, a new study has found that children who eat more meals with their family eat better, consuming more fruits and vegetables than those whose families rarely eat together.

In a British study mean to assess how many children were eating the recommended five servings of fruits and veggies each day, researchers found that children consumed only 3.7 portions a day on average, while kids who always ate family meals together consumed about 1-1/2 more servings of fruits and vegetables than those who never ate with their families.
