Stressed Shoppers Have Stores' Help

Posted: Updated:

There's only one week left of shopping until Christmas is here, and stores have noticed more people coming in to buy presents. And you might want to take advantage of your resources! Today Valley News Live talked with store managers around the area about how they can help stressed shoppers.

The fewer the days til Christmas makes shoppers more anxious. Shopper Shauna Erickson hopes to be done this week, "Oh I'd love to have it done by Friday so you can enjoy the weekend together, or you can do some baking or visit some people."

But some shoppers aren't as organized or enthused about shopping like Shauna. In fact a lot of people don't like the holiday crowds, but stores like JC Penney's are finding little ways to help reward you for coming into the stores. Manager Sarah Landman explains, "Each button has a code on the back, and that code can get you up to 20 million in prizes, so 1 in 4 customers are actually winning for us."

And prizes are just one of the perks of walking into a store. "It's awesome to have the sales people help." says Shauna. They can help you find something for everyone. "Something different that you can't get at the mall or anything like that, so there's something for everybody here, which is the many thing, anybody can find something." says Courtney Schur from Downtown Fargo's One World.

So for the last few days the stores are ready to help, so shoppers like Shauna aren't stressed. "I'm feeling kind of pressured now, and nothings wrapped, but it will come together, it always does." Shauna says.

Incase you don't have all your holiday shopping done, most stores now have holiday hours so they are open longer.
