Bad Road Conditions Slips Drivers Into Ditches

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds of cars have gone into the ditch because of the ice, snow and rain hitting the roadways.  All around North Dakota and Minnesota today it seemed like no matter where you were, there was always some slick spots on the roads.

Over near Pelican Rapids and on the way to Fergus Falls the roads were wet and icy. Also on Hwy 13 the roads were slippery, and with the wind pushing against the car the driving was difficult. Today a number of cars were in the ditch along with a tow truck.  The best advice other drivers were giving is to be a defensive driver, incase anyone comes sliding towards you.

Driving back into Fargo the roads were just like normal winter condition, so people in the F-M area should still drive safe, but we don't have the ice as of now to worry about.
