UND and NDSU Winter Commencement Today

Posted: Updated:

North Dakota's two largest universities are holding their winter commencement ceremonies.

More than 800 students are eligible to receive degrees at the University of North Dakota on Friday, and more than 750 are eligible at North Dakota State University. It is NDSU's largest fall graduating class in history.

UND's ceremony is in the Chester Fritz Auditorium. NDSU's commencement is at the Bison Sports Arena.

Fargo Police are giving a heads up about congested traffic around the NDSU campus because of the winter commencement ceremonies before the Bison game.

Police say the busiest times in north Fargo should be around 5:20-6:00 p.m. Friday. If you're traveling to north Fargo avoid 12th and 19th Avenues North. You may have better luck taking 25th Avenue North, I-29, Cass Route 20 or 10th Street North to reach your destination.
