Armed Robbery at South side Payday Loan Shop

Posted: Updated:

Fargo police are searching a south side neighborhood for two armed men who they say held up a payday loan store with handguns around 6:05 Thursday night.

The men, who police say were described by witnesses as being in their early to late 20s, thin, and black, were wearing dark clothes and what looked to be ski masks. Police say they came into the Red D Cash store, pointed two handguns at the clerk, demanded money, and took off on foot. A K-9 was called in to try to get a trail on the robbers.

Police say the robbery was unusual in that they more frequently occur later in the evening hours, and in that 25th Street in that section of 32nd Avenue is quite busy at that time of night. Police say they'll be reviewing surveillance video from the shopping center where the robbers were.
