Three Arrested in Grand Forks Robbery

The Grand Forks Police Department responded to the report of a robbery just before 9:00 Tuesday night. After short investigation, officers found out the victim was assaulted and robbed by two male subjects that she had met earlier in the night.

Based on the woman's description of the suspects and the vehicle they were driving, a traffic stop was made in Cass County, North Dakota by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The two male robbery suspects and one additional female subject were arrested by NDHP.

Evidence linking the suspects to this robbery was also located during this traffic stop. The three people arrested:

William Antoine Dontae Meadows, 35

  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana

Semereab Tesfaye, 24

  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana while operating a motor vehicle

Kia Yang, 26

  • Carrying a concealed weapon
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana

Charges of Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Terrorizing have been forwarded to the Grand Forks County States Attorney office and are currently pending on Meadows and Tesfaye.
