6 Foot Menorah Lit for Hanukkah

Posted: Updated:

And while people learned about the lights, Jewish people celebrated the second day of Hanukah. Rabbi Yonah Grossman kicked off a small tour around North and South Dakota today, by lighting a six foot tall Menorah.

The lighting symbolizes a candle that was supposed to only last one night, but instead lasted eight. "We came, my wife and I came here about a year about to set up the Chabad Jewish Center of North Dakota, and our goal is to increase Jewish awareness in the state and to reach out to the unaffiliated Jews, with different programming and to spread the message of Judaism." says Rabbi Grossman who will be traveling around to spread the Hanukah message of light taking victory over darkness.
