Police Investigating Murder Claim at Clinic

Posted: Updated:

Streets in Moorhead were closed off Tuesday afternoon as police look into a murder claim they now believe to be false. Just after 1:00 p.m. Moorhead Police got a call of a woman who had gone into the Nokken Chiropractic Clinic, just off of Main Avenue and 13th Street in Moorhead.

A clinic worker says a woman came in with blood on her hand and said she had just killed someone, but after police found her, she changed her story multiple times.

"She's providing inconsistent information with that, indicating that it was a miscommunication, and that she hadn't made those statement," said Lt. Tory Jacobson. "So, at this point we have not located a victim."

The woman is claiming the blood on her hand is from a small personal injury.  Moorhead police are searching local hospitals, and other places the woman may have been to get to the bottom of her claim.  They are also contacting her family to see if anyone has been hurt.
