Posted: Updated:

In-case you haven't noticed winter has arrived and temperatures will only get colder from here. That being said, how do you ensure your heat stays where's its suppose to.

Experts in home winterization from the South East North Dakota Community Action Agency (SENDCAA) joined the valley today this morning. Sharing their knowledge on keeping your heat in your home.

The best place to start, is with a simple home walk through. Make sure you're not feeling any cold of drafty spots, or see light coming through areas where there shouldn't be any. Also make sure you have the appropriate insulation and your doors and windows have proper weather stripping.

If you find problems that need exceed your home repair skills you can call a local contractor to fix the issue. SENDCAA also provides winterization services to people who need energy assistance or extra help.
