Christmas Historical Tour

Posted: Updated:

If you're looking for an old fashioned Christmas... The Comstock home in Moorhead is giving tours. The house was built in the eighteen-hundreds by Soloman Comstock who was a businessman, politician and civic leader.

The Victorian house has many handed down artifacts that belonged to the Comstock family. The home has had a Christmas makeover, but still has regular tours through the lives of the Comstock's. The most interesting thing about the home according to Quinn Kupec is, "Really they might just learn about the family, and what all they did, they are really an important part, they planned a lot of the cities in this area. I know that Soloman Comstock worked with James J. Hill who's at the time running great northern rail road, I believe."

Soloman Comstock donated land and sponsored a bill that led to the establishment of MSUM.
