Jingle Bell Run

Posted: Updated:

Around here people were in the Christmas spirit. Hundreds tied their shoes and put on their antlers for the jingle bell run.

Arthritis affects millions of people and today's run helped raise money to fight back. It was also a fun way for people to kick off their holiday by dressing up. Runners and walkers came from all around the F-M area to support the cause, and did fundraising before the run.

Trisha Rygg participated with family and friends. "We raised roughly $1000 just in a little bit over two weeks for the arthritis foundation, and really excited and the girls did a fantastic job getting out there and asking neighbors and friends and family for donations, and it's really been a heartwarming event." Rygg says.

This year almost 600 runners and walkers raised about 37,000 dollars.
