Moorhead Police Tase Driver Who Fled Officers

Posted: Updated:

Moorhead Police officers had to use a taser gun on a man they say tried to run away from them during a traffic stop early this morning. It started out as a slow-speed chase around 1 a.m. near the MSU-M campus, and then police say the driver sped up, made a quick stop and bailed out of the car. The officer caught up with him in the neighborhood, but had to tase him because he was fighting.

Police arrested 33-year-old Justin James Carr of Moorhead for impaired driving, fleeing police in a motor vehicle and fleeing on foot. Carr is in the Clay County Jail.
