Norberg Trial: Defense Testimony Resumes Monday Morning

Posted: Updated:

Defense testimony is set to resume in the trial of a Fargo surgeon accused of drugging and sexually assaulting his wife.

Dr. Jon Norberg has pleaded not guilty to gross sexual imposition and reckless endangerment.

Authorities say Norberg injected Dr. Alonna Norberg with the anesthetic propofol and had sex with her against her will. Jon Norberg says the couple agreed to use the drug to treat her chronic pain.

The trial began on November 5 with jury selection.  Monday will be the eighth day of testimony. Defense attorneys have not said whether Jon Norberg will take the stand.
