Posted: Updated:

Fire Investigators say a fire that heavily damaged a house in Jamestown was deliberately set.

Fire fighters got the emergency call just before 7 a.m. on Friday November 9th.  No one was home at the time.

Police now say the flames had been burning for a couple of hours before anyone noticed.  Damage to the home is estimated at about $140,000.

According to investigators the evidence points to arson and there is a suspect.

One firefighter suffered a knee injury fighting the fire and another aggravated a previous injury. A police officer who responded slipped on the ice.
