Update: Man Dies After Being Struck By Train

Police have identified a man that was struck by a train in Downtown Fargo, early Thursday morning.

Robert Lamar Brown, 30, died from extensive injuries to his head and torso he received after being hit by a train. Fargo Police report in their initial investigation that Brown was laying across the tracks in the 4200 block of Main Ave. in Fargo.

The train was said to be traveling at a speed of 22-25 MPH. Train operators reported using their signal horn and brakes but were unable to stop prior to the crash.

Brown was being transported by air ambulance to a hospital in the twin cities, but medial crew were unable to stabilize him and had to return to Fargo.
