HOLIDAY HOMES OF HOPE

Posted: Updated:

The Tour of Homes kicked off today in Fargo's downtown historic neighborhood. This year the event is expected to nearly double last years attendance.

Once again they teamed up with the Cystic Fibrosis Administration of North Dakota to help raise money for folks across the state that are battling the disease. A disease that effects only about 30 thousand people nationally but entails very expensive treatments. People opened up their doors and decorated their homes with a holiday theme in mind with hopes to help raise nearly 20 thousand dollars for the cause.

Mandy B. Anderson who suffers from cystic fibrosis says it's a helpful way for folks unaffected by the disease to help out, "they help families pay for medications, pay for doctor visits, they have a scholarship fund. And they help with awareness of c-f within the state."

You can still get tickets for the Home Tour at any Hornbachers store, Stop and Go stations, or houses that have the holiday homes of hope signs in their yards. The tour wraps up Sunday going from noon to 5pm.
