The battle for the Dakota Marker has developed into NDSU's fiercest football rivalry. Since the trophy was first awarded in 2004, the series is split at four games a piece, and for certain players, the rivalry is more personal than for others.
Sophomore defensive end Mike Hardy has already earned bragging rights this year by defeating USD in his hometown of Sioux Falls, and now he wants to complete the sweep and beat some of his friends who play for the Jackrabbits.
