Crooks Tamper with Credit Card Checkout Machines

On a normal day like today, when you take that debit card out of your wallet and swipe it -- Beware! Criminals out to steal your personal information are now tampering with checkout machines in department stores, supermarkets, gas stations, and even your doctor's office.

They're posing as repairmen and corrupting payment terminals. Barnes & Noble recently disclosed that thieves got away with installing corrupted checkout terminals in 63 bookstores in nine states.
