The only thing standing in Mahnomen's way of a section 8 title was Red Lake County, a team the Indians beat 39-0 in the regular season finale.

In the first quarter, quarterback Jacob Pavek faked a dive and kept it for a two yard touchdown -- 7-0 mahnomen.

Then in the next possession, Bryce Penner takes the dive before getting out to the edge and racing up the sideline for a 48 yard touchdown to make it 14-0, Indians.

And still in the first,  Bob Bjorge took the handoff up the middle for an eight yard touchdown run that made it 20-0 mahnomen. They rolled 46-20, improving to 11 and 0 and moving onto the state playoffs.
