Last year the Bison Women's basketball team was dealt a huge blow when guard Katie Birkel went down with a torn ACL just two weeks before the season began.

She'll be one of six seniors on the roster this year as Head Coach Carolyn DeHoff hopes that her players' experience will be a huge plus for a team that finished 11 and 20 a season ago, and seeing as how she'll be leaning on those six seniors heavily on the court, she hopes her underclassmen learn as much as possible.
