Heitkamp Campaign Calls Forum Poll Into Question

Posted: Updated:

A recent Forum Communication poll came out with results showing that North Dakota Representative Rick Berg had a 10 point lead over senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp. Today, Heitkamp's campaign released this statement:

"The only consistency in the two Forum polls this year is their deeply flawed methodology. In May, this firm broke professional polling standards by surveying primary voters for a general election, and now it uses a sample with a partisan makeup completely at odds with North Dakota exit polling and historical trends,"

Two weeks ago, Valley News Live sponsored a Mason Dixon poll that showed Berg and Heitkamp were tied with 47 percent of the votes, each.
