Posted: Updated:

North Dakota State University is getting $4.9 million from the National Institutes of Health for biomedical research.

The 5-year grant will help faculty, students and scientists as they search for better treatments for cancer, asthma, arthritis and other diseases.

NDSU has received $24 million in the past 12 years through the National Institutes of Health Center of Biomedical Research Excellence. The money has helped establish the Center for Protease Research on campus along with two labs available to scientists.
