Bras on Broadway is growing out of its old confines.

Last year's bra-decorating party had about thirty to forty people at it, all gathered to show their artistic sides, and to raise money to fight breast cancer. It was so effective, and so much fun, organizers said, they decided to move it to the civic center.

Families, friends and survivors showed up Tuesday night to drink wine and root beer floats, listen to live music and decorate some bras for the fundraiser.

Donated bras go to a huge display downtown about breast cancer awareness.

Donated money goes to help folks who are fighting breast cancer.

"We all have mothers, and also, one out of every eight women will face breast cancer sometime in their lives. And in our area, since it's rural, the average tip to get treatment is about one hundred forty miles. So that's why a lot of the money we raise goes to gas cards," says organizer Karen Stoker.

Bras on Broadway continues with events throughout the month.. Including a party and live auction at the Hodo in downtown Fargo on the 25th.
