Hillsboro Family Loses Everything in Fire

Posted: Updated:

A family is without a home after a fire destroyed it Sunday. It was just before 11:00 a.m. when Traill County Dispatch received a 911 call about a house fire on 5th street in Hillsboro, North Dakota.

The homeowner and her two teenage boys were home at the time, and they all got out without being hurt.  Hillsboro Fire and Rescue got to the fire within five minutes of the call, but the home and everything inside is a total loss.

The Red Cross is helping the family, but more donations are needed. If you can help: money is being accepted at the Dakota Heritage Bank in Hillsboro. For more information, just contact the Hillsboro Police Department at 701-636-4441.
