Governor to Tour Karlstad Damage Today

Posted: Updated:

Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton is on his way to Karlstad, Minnesota, this Friday morning to get a look at what wildfires did to that town. He'll be at the elementary school gym at 9 a.m. to talk with local officials about recovery efforts.

It was just three days ago that a fast-moving wildfire forced half the town to evacuate. Some people had only an hour to grab what they wanted and drive to safety. Eleven homes and two dozen other buildings were destroyed.
