Seatbelt Saves Woman's Life

Posted: Updated:

The Minnesota State Patrol says a seatbelt likely saved a woman's life.

The woman rolled her vehicle after swerving to avoid a beet truck and losing control of her vehicle on Highway 10 on Thursday morning.

Authorities say the truck was just pulling onto the highway and attempting to speed up when the crash happened. The woman didn't realize the truck was still going slow and swerved to avoid hitting the truck.

The woman's car rolled, but she was wearing a seatbelt. She was not hurt.

The crash did cause a traffic back-up for a few hours on Highway 10.
