Crookston has organized a group called, "In Motion" to give itself an image make-over.
The group is already working on a plan to build a town square at the site of its Farmers Market downtown. Crookston residents will soon be asked to give their input on that project. And there are other features, like the Red Lake River the group is hoping to promote.
In Motion member, Robert Gustafson says it also means tying everything together into a promotion to make Crookston a destination city.
Robert Gustafson: "From people on the outside, when they come here they are fascinated by all the things we do offer, from outdoor recreation, to our trails, to just our scenic quality. There are a lot of things here that we have that we don't promote enough. This is a good way to start doing that."
A Community planning session for the "In Motion" program will be held in Crookston on October 13, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Bremer Bank building.
