Posted: Updated:

Fargo Fire responded to a car fully engulfed in flames just after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. The car was in the parking lot of the Park Place apartments at 3131 27th Street South in Fargo.

Assistant Fire Chief Leroy Skarloken says when they arrived, the car that was engulfed had caught also caught a van on fire that was sitting next to it in the parking lot. He says firefighters were able to knock down quickly using water and foam.

The car was fairly close to the apartment building, waking some who lived there. A dozen or more gathered outside the apartment building in the lawn to watch all the action.

Skarloken says the cause of the vehicle fire is undetermined, but the Fargo Police Department is investigating.
