Posted: Updated:

A Thompson, North Dakota man was transported to Altru Hospital Wednesday after his foot became caught in a grain auger at the Honeyford Elevator.

David Brazee, 59, from Thompson was shoveling grain inside a grain bin when his foot slipped and his foot went into the shoot and became lodged in the auger system.  Brazee was able to make contact with someone inside the grain house by radio, and the emergency shut off was activated.

Brazee was removed from the auger by Gilby Fire and rescue, along with Altru ambulance personnel. Brazee was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance.
